Universities West Midlands supports a network of representatives on key issues and works with a group of expert associates to facilitate representation for the Universities in the region. Many staff from individual Universities are active on international, national, regional and local committees, steering groups and task and finish groups.
Where Universities West Midlands takes up a regional representative role we will firstly ensure that the appropriate person undertakes the role and we will support them so they can play a full and constructive part on behalf of the sector.
Where there are several potential candidates for a Universities West Midlands representative role, an election is held by our Strategic Board to elect the representative.
